This is a desktop application is an interactive culinary simulator called the Custom 500g Curry Paste Lab. It is designed to act as an algorithmic kitchen tool, allowing chefs and home cooks to design custom spice blends, dynamically recalculate a fixed-weight recipe, and analyse the resulting flavour profiles.

App Interface & Layout Details

The application utilises a clean, card-based dashboard layout split into three operational zones:

  • The Spice Cabinet (Interactive Panel): A collection of core culinary ingredients (such as Coriander Powder, Cumin Powder, Garlic Paste, and Chili Powder) equipped with adjustable slider bars.

  • Flavour Profile Analysis (Dynamic Output): A live visualisation block that recalculates total batch math, translates spice ratios into sensory metrics (e.g., Heat & Pungency, Earthiness & Warmth), and determines the overall dominant taste character.

  • Instructional Guide (Static Output): A dynamic list text module that automatically contextualises the step-by-step cooking procedures based on the global total volume (fixed at 500g in this mode).

How to Operate and Use the Application

To create a tailored recipe and generate instructions using this tool, follow these sequential steps:

  1. Adjust the Formulation Sliders: Left-click and drag the red circular slider nodes next to each ingredient in the Spice Cabinet. Moving a slider to the right increases that component's concentration in grams, while moving it left reduces it.

  2. Monitor the Automated Balance Logic: The application enforces a fixed Total Paste Mass of 500g. As you scale up one ingredient (e.g., adding more Chili Powder for extra heat), the backend algorithm will adaptively shift or signal constraints to ensure the total weight perfectly matches 500g.

  3. Evaluate the Flavour Breakdown: Read the real-time percentages updated under Flavour Dimensions. If your Earthiness & Warmth (Cumin/Coriander axis) or Aromatic & Savoury Notes are skewed higher than intended, tweak the sliders until your target flavor harmony is achieved.

  4. Review the Heat Scale: Check the top-right indicator in the analysis block to see if your mixture registers as a Mild, Medium Spiced, or Hot blend based on your chili input.

  5. Execute the Cooking Protocol: Once satisfied with the flavour profile balance, follow the generated instructions in the bottom-right panel. The application calculates the exact cooking parameters for your batch size—such as using 10 to 12 tablespoons of oil/ghee and frying continuously for 8 to 10 minutes to bloom the aromatics.

  6. Reset if Necessary: If you want to start over, click the Reset to Default 500g button at the bottom of the Spice Cabinet to revert all sliders to their baseline positions.

Our Thesis

Discipline the Void. Remove Clutter.

Spatial restraint is not a limitation, but the ultimate expression of form. We build sanctuaries, not showrooms.

Material-Led Sanctuaries

Hinoki Wood

Monolithic Joinery

Precision-cut hinoki wood joinery, crafted to seamless perfection, celebrates the unadorned beauty of natural materials.

Lime Plaster

Honed Mortar

Hand-finished lime plaster walls, honed to a tactile surface, capture and diffuse light with subtle texture.

Raw Concrete

Structural Shadows

Raw concrete monoliths define space through mass and shadow, creating a dialogue between form and light.

Execution & Handover

We begin with a focused dialogue to understand your vision for spatial restraint and material integrity.

A mandatory six-month moratorium is observed for meticulous sourcing of unruled stone and hinoki timber.

Detailed architectural plans and material palettes are refined through iterative, collaborative study.

Our artisans bring the design to life, culminating in the handover of your material-led sanctuary.
